More Cage Information I believe that you should buy the biggest cage that you can afford for your rats. They are very active and social and need as much space as possible. I have switched all of my cages to Martin's Cages and I love them!! Check out Martin's Cages Here are pictures of some of my cages: This is the girls' main cage. It measures 30" wide x 18" deep x 60" tall. I have another one exactly like it that most of the boys live in. It's a custom Martin's Cage and it's fantastic! Three of my boys live in this cage.
