Infant rats change daily. It is truly amazing to watch them transform from wiggling pinkies into fully furred kittens in just a few weeks.

These pictures are from a combination of different litters.

Blaze - 1/2 hour before she delivered 14 healthy pinkies.

Day 1 - Pinkies are born hairless, with their eyes and ears sealed shut.

Day 3 - The babies that will be darker are already beginning to show.

Day 5

Day 7 - At one week old, the different colors are becoming easier to distinguish.

Day 9 - They become more mobile every day.

Day 11

Day 13 - Their eyes are beginning to open.

Day 15

Day 16 - Their eyes are open and they're on the move.
Day 18 - They've been nibbling solid foods for a couple of days.
Day 19 - They're very social and eating solid foods. But, they're also still dependant on their mother.
Day 20
Day 21 - At three weeks old, they're eating more solid food and nursing less. However, they won't be fully weaned for at least another week.
